Ashtyn's Kindergarten Graduation

Ashtyn had a wonderful first year of school. She has changed so much in these past 9 months! It is unbelievable that she will be in 1st grade when school starts back. We have been blessed with the most wonderful teacher and teacher's aide, not to mention an incredible God-loving school. I could not have asked for anything more!

I have to brag on her and share that she was the only student not to lose a stick all year long! (If you don't know what that means, just ask me sometime) Also, they have different leaders each week for example, line leader, door holder, etc. A few weeks ago the teacher let Ashtyn choose which leader that she wanted to be and she chose prayer helper. That helper gets to be the one who prays for the class and at lunch time. She has really come out of her shell. I mentioned earlier that she had a solo and a speaking part in her school musical. Can you believe that?
She wants to be the best at everything that she does. Right now she is really into dancing, singing and she loves to draw and color. We have her dance receital coming up in 2 weeks, which she is very excited about. Also she was invited to be in the mini company class next year. That is an invitation only, competitive/performance team at her dance studio. What an honor (at 6 yrs. old)! At home, she is a great helper. She still loves to help with Eisley. It will be fun to see what thi next year brings!

Josiah's graduation

This was Josiah's big night. I was a bit nervous of how he would do seeing that right before we left the house he let me know that he really did not want to "do graduation tonight". I told him how this was HIS special night and that he could even pick where we went for dinner afterwards, just like Ashtyn had done the year before when she graduated from Pre-K. I was so proud when he walked into the sanctuary and up on that stage. He didn't sing the songs, but he was up there! He was however, yawning and rubbing his eyes most of the time :). But at least he wasn't sticking his tongue out and licking his lips like one little boy down the line!

I think Josiah has come such a long way this year. He started off never wanting to go to school and was very quite when he was there. He really wasn't even interested in learning anything (quite the opposite of Ashtyn). There were many days that I had to drag him into the room! But then he got to really love it and made a lot of great friends! He even enjoyed doing his homework which consisted of practicing writing his letters. (I think he did a great job!) He loves to show us what he has learned at school. And I love to see his face light up as he shows us.

He is growing up! And he is such a sweetheart! He is so kind and compassionate. I wish that you could see the way he takes care of Isaiah when they are together. He is a joy! And I am thankful that I will have him home 2 days a week next year since he will be going to Pre-K again next year, but will be at a different school. He will be at Lake Country Christian School
with Ashtyn.

7 1/2 weeks

Eisley weighed 9 lbs at her 1 month appointment and is now up to 10 lbs and 8 oz. She is losing the newborn look. Here is a pic from today of my girls!

the best mother's day ever

I really did have the greatest mother's day. Besides having the 4 best kids, I do believe that I have the best husband also! If you have kids then you know how difficult Sunday mornings are. trying to get up, get breakfast, iron clothes, get dressed and make it to church...on time! Okay so the on time part rarely happens!

Brent woke up early and got he kids clothes ironed, got the boys ready and made pancakes! And even better he let me sleep late, I don't think I got up until close to 8:00 am! That is late for our house (the kids were all up by 6:30 am this morning!) We got to church on time, which was really good, and then had one of my favorites for lunch...chicken piccata at Pastafina. Yum Yum! Afterwards we went to my sister, Brande's, house and rode on the jet ski's. We all had a great time in spite of how cold the lake was! Poor Josiah got to experience falling off Jet ski, into the water, with his daddy!!

It was a really nice day with the family!

So much...

So much has been going on lately with the new baby, school ending and summer Bible study beginning things are pretty much crazy at our home! Did I tell you that my oh so shy Ashtyn sang a solo and had a speaking part in the Kindergarten/1st grade musical at her school? Well she did and I have the video to prove it! Just ask and I would be more than happy to show you! I am trying to figure out how to get it on here, but we will see if I ever actually have the time to figure it out!

I'll try to post some of the latest pics and events soon!

PIRATES

My camera is broke, and I am so sad, because this is not a good time to have a broken camera. This weekend I had a "sip and see" baby shower and I have no pictures from it. Some friends and family are supposed to email me some pics, but until then...

Eisley is 5 weeks old. At her 1 month check up she weighed 9 lbs. and was 21 1/2 inches long. That puts her in the 50 % for her weight and 75% for her height! Isn't that crazy because she was so short when she was born.

Since I have no new pictures I was just looking through some old pics and found this one of the kids playing pirates with their cousin Micah. Aren't they cute? I cannot believe how little they look and how fast the time has gone! They have changed so much in the past year and a half. Ashtyn and Micah will both be in first grade next year, now that is really hard to believe!
