Brent & I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago to attend the Story Conference a couple of weeks ago. We had an amazing time and were definitely inspired for this next stage in our life. Here are a few of the highlights.

Father - Daughter Dance

Aren't they cute? I love this picture of Brent and Ashtyn! Our church hosted their 1st annual Father/Daughter Dance. They had a wonderful time spending the evening together. (Thank you to Joy Carr for all your hard work in making this special night possible.)

Eisley's 4th Birthday

Our sweet little princess turned 4 on March 29th! We surprised her on her birthday with a Rapunzel/Tangeled outfit and accessories and took her and the whole family to see Disney Princess on Ice! We had a wonderful evening. Even the boys enjoyed it, although they might not admit it if you ask them :)

Then on Saturday, we celebrated with her girlfriends...no boys allowed...with a princess tea party!

Josiah's Baptism - November 13th, 2011

I unloaded my camera and of course wanted to share the great news that Josiah decided that he wanted to be baptized. We were thrilled with his decision.

I also wanted to share Proverbs 24:13-14. If you know Josiah well, these verses are just for him. I can not read them without thinking of him and what the Lord may show him through these verses in the future.  "My son, eat honey, for it is good, Yes, the honey from the comb is sweet to your taste; Know that wisdom is thus for your soul; If you find it, then there will be a future, And your hope will not be cut off."

We love you, Josiah, and KNOW that God has great plans for you!

Isaiah is 7!

Isaiah is 7! Where have the years gone? I am so proud of this boy. His thoughts and words continually amaze me. He loves the Lord, and has let us know that he wants to be a missionary when he grows up. I am so thankful that the Lord continues to give us opportunities to show and teach Isaiah that he doesn't have to wait until he grows up, but that he can start now. His favorite subject in school is spelling and he is great at it. He also loves to read on his own and really enjoys when I read biographies of missionaries from around the world aloud to him. He plays the piano and likes to play on his drum set. He can't wait until we allow him to take drum lessons. His favorite toys? Legos!  And one of his favorite movies? Star Wars! So of course, he had a Star Wars Lego Party!
